Yay! it's the beginning of summer! (well in my books it is)

I'd have to say i didn't do half bad trying to take a picture of this road sign going 70 MPH - but I couldn't resist a sign that said Kendallville! :)

Didn't get much time with Kendall this weekend - I went to the Indy race and she got to spend the long weekend with Daddy. I know she had fun because she ran out of daddy's car yelling "I had fun at daddy's". So even though I missed her - she obviously didn't miss me too much. Grandma and grandpa got her a new sand box for the backyard and since it stayed nice on Monday night she was able to put her suit on and play in the sprinkler and in the sand box.

Now I had to add these last few in there so we could see what an improvement her little thighs have made since last year.... )

From Wobbler to Penguin

Well I spoke with the director at Kendall's daycare and she is officially moving up to the next classroom on June 30th :) I am happy and sad at the same time. On one hand, she is getting to be SO BIG...but on the other, the kids in her class now are all getting so young so she has been talking like a baby lately and I think the young kids are part of the problem. So she starts the "penguin" class on June 30th and then the preschool portion begins when the regular school year does so ~beginning in September she'll be a preschooler :) That's one of the benefits of her daycare is they have the preschool included right in with the child care. It's also beneficial for Kendall because with her birthday being the end of December - she wouldn't qualify for a public preschool until she's almost 4 years old. All the kids that were in her class when she first started at SJV are in the Penguin room so the only change for her will be the teacher and the room. Her boyfriend Connor is in this room so that will make her really happy! My do they get big FAST! :)

What a good little mommy

Grandma won a new little table set this weekend (yes, she won! grandma's luck is changing :) ) And Kendall was very excited about it of course because it's Dora. While she was playing last night she "set" the table for her hungry baby. She even made sure to wipe the table off because "baby messy".

She also was able to play outside on Sunday even though it was a little chilly. She just loves making bubbles in the backyard and playing basketball. It is amusing to watch her shoot a basket as the ball normally just falls right back on the top of her head.

She has been super sassy lately. Tonight she told me "don't tell me no mommy". But hey ~ she's listening to what I say right? She still has a few potty accidents every now and again - but they are few and far between. She still wears the pull up at night but that's more because I'm afraid she won't make it the whole night. She's had her new bed for a few weeks now and she has never even come close to falling out of it. I still want to keep the pillows on the floor because I don't want to jinx it and move them b/c I figure that will be when she falls out.

Right back to normal!

As you can see from this picture ~ Kendall is running around like she never had that cast on. I am more than excited to give her a bath now as it's much easier - she was in there for over an hour last night! It's also much easier to choose clothing because now everything fits again.

She was very helpful passing out gifts for mother's day yesterday. Kendall gave mommy an adorable plate that she made - and a card she made at a daycare and also a beautiful necklace. She was excited about giving all of it to me.

She still really enjoys her pears - though she doesn't eat as many of them at daycare?!?! She is hopefully going to be moved up to the next class in mid summer ~ which is more like a 3 year old preschool in the morning and then daycare in the afternoon. I am very excited for her to move up because most of the kids in her class are becoming quite a bit younger than her and I think she's more than ready for some big kid challenges.

THE CAST IS GONE!!! :) Kendall sat on the doctor's table like such a big girl and didn't even cry. She listened to mommy's iPod so that she didn't hear the loud saw that Dr. Harris used and she didn't budge at all. The nurse's took her to have an x-ray and at first she was hesitant at leaving mommy's side and then one of the nurse's said "we have stickers" and she practically jumped off of my lap. Grandma promised her ice cream if she sat still, but she settled for a popsicle since McDonald's doesn't have ice cream in the morning. I was very proud of her this morning. That saw was seriously loud. We got to keep the cast and surprisingly ~it's not that disgusting. Thanks for all your thoughts!

Only 4 more days

The crib is gone!!! :) Her Saturday nap was the last time she slept in the toddler bed and now she officially has her big girl bed ~ which she calls her bigger bed. The transition was nice and smooth which I am happy for. It was bittersweet to get rid of the changing table - but her room really looks like a toddler room now.

More good news is that her cast comes off on Friday morning! :) Dr. Harris called on Friday and said "please bring someone with you so we don't have to put her out for this" :) So grandma is joining us. All of her friends have signed the cast so it will be a nice little keepsake for her. Everywhere we go people say "oh poor thing" and I want to say oh no it slows her down NONE. Kendall Breanna Uncle Andy Grandpa and I played softball in the front yard today and she is still just running all over (she golfs instead of playing softball but she tries). I can't wait until Friday to give her an actual REAL bath again. I used to think baths were such a job in itself but now that she's had this cast a regular old bath is CAKE!

She acquires so many new words in a day I just can't believe it. In the car the other day she started saying "mommy the baby is cwapping" and I thought she was saying a fun little word but she meant clapping.

As for potty training - she's only had ONE ACCIDENT all week. It's hard when we're outside because I know she doesn't want to take the time to go - but she eventually gets inside. It helps when Breanna's here because they race to the toilet.
