All she wants to do is dance dance dance

When I did her hair on this day - she flipped her hair and said "I'm making myself pretty for my boyfriend" ?!?!?! I told her she was too little for a boyfriend and she said "but Gavin likes me not Kaya........" oh lord.....

As you can see - Kendall likes to dance!! She has started saying "I'm a ballerina - watch me dance". So I decided to see if she likes dance class and signed her up this week. She goes once a week and will have tap, ballet and tumbling. She starts on September 8th and I think I might be more excited than she is! I am hoping that it helps her get rid of some energy - staying home with mom more, I feel like I don't let her be as active as she was able to be at daycare. So I'm also looking for a preschool to send her to - but I'm finding that many of them are full - but geesh I wasn't really planning on getting laid off and the daycare she went to had preschool included!! Hopefully I find one for her.
And I'm not sure if it's just an age thing - but she is such a SNOT lately!!! Very trying on my patience (well.....maybe it's that I'm with her more now.....) but anyhow, when I reprimand her - she points her finger back at me - or she gives me a "look" (which I realize I give to her while I'm yelling)....the tricks I used to get her to listen to me don't work anymore - she's getting too stinkin smart! Luckily she's pretty good for the most part so these times don't occur too often.
We also got a kitty and Kendall and him get along great - Boo chases her and she chases him. For as much as she carries him and hugs him you'd think that he'd run away from her when she came near - but he lies next to her on the couch - follows her to the bathroom and sits at her feet - they are best buddies.

Big truck

Kendall loves it when Rob makes "deliveries" to us in his big truck. He usually brings us slurpees or something fun. The day of the ultrasound he met us at the doctor's office in his work truck and Kendall finally got to sit in it. He even let her push the button to turn it on. She looked so tiny way up there! But she loved it.

Summer fun!

Kendall spent about 4 days in Grand Haven with grandma and grandpa Berends. Grandma said she was very well behaved and was making friends with all the other kids that were camping. She didn't care how cold the water was - she dragged grandpa in there no matter what (thank goodness I wasn't there!!!) Aunt Becky was also there at the same time and Kendall was attached to her hip. And as you can tell from the pictures - Kendall IDOLIZES her cousin Breanna. But when I first told Kendall she was staying at the lake with grandma and grandpa she was a bit confused - when we got there she said "where is gamma Milla and Jack and tarlie???" I told her there is more than one lake and she looked at me funny and I'm sure she was thinking "whatever mom".

When Kendall got home there was a furry surprise for her. We got a kitten! Kendall cannot get enough of her (i think it's a her). Her name is Boo. Kendall wants to hug and kiss her and carry her EVERYWHERE. She will tattle on Boo and say "moooom - boo just scraped me" - and I have to tell her she needs to leave the cat alone!!! Boo already has such a personality - when we get home she runs to the door and skids into our feet and purrs like crazy. Her and Kendall are getting along great so far - I think mostly because Kendall wants to give her 800 treats a day!

Yesterday we went to Binder Park Zoo. Even though it was TONS of walking - it was AWESOME to feed the giraffes. Kendall wasn't hesitant at all. I was completely amazed at how long their tongues are! They are about as long as Kendall's arm.

When we got home from Grand Haven Kendall has become even more of a daredevil and will now jump off the diving board with a ring on all by herself! She is very proud and wants to show everyone that comes over her new talent. I have a video of it that I will post when I get home tonight.

My little fishy!

Kendall REALLY has no fear when it comes to the pool now. She will jump in without any floaties or someone standing there to catch her! She has been a good listener and has avoided the deep end. She won't even let you carry her over there.

She started coughing a lot again - so I put her back on the Singulair (thanks Jeni) and inhaler. It has helped A TON. Good thing she takes medicine so good and the inhaler came with a cute duck attachment so she doesn't mind that either. this is how happy she is when i make her get out of the pool
she laughed when i showed her the picture of herself crying - so she made grandpa

pretend to cry also

turning into a fish!

Kendall is very happy to be outside in the nice weather again. I think between Saturday and Sunday she spent more time IN THE POOL than she did OUT OF THE POOL. She just loves it. At grandma and grandpa's pool she can touch now in the shallow end and she just can't get enough. She is getting more and more daring and will now jump off from the side with a ring on - and she even headed toward the deep end to jump until grandpa stopped her! She has even gone down a slide without hesitation. She has the ring on and goes all the way under - but she doesn't seem to care.
Kendall is VERY EXCITED about being a big "sista". Right now she tells me she wants a sister and she wants to name her Isaiah - I have told her that her sister will be mad if that is what we name her! So for now she has changed her own baby's name to Isaiah - even with the pink outfit the baby wears. She also told her teachers that there are two babies and that was quite funny. With our family growing - and with the issues we are having with the neighbors below us - we are in the process of finding somewhere new to live! Kendall will have a lot of changes in a very short time - so I'm trying to prepare her as best as I can. I think she'll do just fine.

Time with Hedder

*** This is my favorite photo - to CUTE!!! ***

Hi! Katie asked me to post a little about Kendall and I's time together!! Kendall stayed with me for five days and we had a great time!! I didn't get lost in the school, and even managed to get to work on time. The first night she got to play in the front yard with Bryce, they ran and ran and ran around, then we went for ice cream. She had to have something with Blue - so we got Hudsonville Birthday Cake, very yummy. Thursday night we headed to Holland to my sister's place for dinner. Kendall got to hold my niece Katelyn several times and was a big helper! She also got to pet the rabbits, and told King no over and over. King is a HUGE German Shepard, so I am sure he is scary when you are so little! Her and Jewels (my dog) have gotten to be good friends, and Jewels was always by her side. At night before Jewels went to bed, she would go in and lick Kendall's arm - good thing Kendall is a heavy sleeper!
Friday night we headed up north to my grandparents on the lake! Kendall got to drive the golf cart, go on a paddle boat ride, got spoiled by my grandparents and looked for bugs! We also enjoyed an ice cream cake for my birthday - Kendall enjoyed that! Sunday we headed to Marshall for a graduation. Kendall and I were following my parents, we got to Ionia and I pulled beside them so she could wave. Kendall went crazy when my dad gunned it at the light, she kept saying, Ted's beating us, get him - was to cute. Dad's name is Terry but she called him Ted. My dad and her were buddies, but dad said she had to stick her tongue out for the pictures. So have lots of pictures with her tongue out, but my dad's fault.
I had kept saying after the party, we got to go see mommy! She fell asleep after the graduation, the minute she woke up it was mommy, mommy, mommy!! Was to cute!! Kendall is such a smart little girl but is growing up to fast!! It was my pleasure to get to spend so much time with her, we had a ton of fun!!
Kendall got good at writing on the windows, in orange of course!
