turning into a fish!

Kendall is very happy to be outside in the nice weather again. I think between Saturday and Sunday she spent more time IN THE POOL than she did OUT OF THE POOL. She just loves it. At grandma and grandpa's pool she can touch now in the shallow end and she just can't get enough. She is getting more and more daring and will now jump off from the side with a ring on - and she even headed toward the deep end to jump until grandpa stopped her! She has even gone down a slide without hesitation. She has the ring on and goes all the way under - but she doesn't seem to care.
Kendall is VERY EXCITED about being a big "sista". Right now she tells me she wants a sister and she wants to name her Isaiah - I have told her that her sister will be mad if that is what we name her! So for now she has changed her own baby's name to Isaiah - even with the pink outfit the baby wears. She also told her teachers that there are two babies and that was quite funny. With our family growing - and with the issues we are having with the neighbors below us - we are in the process of finding somewhere new to live! Kendall will have a lot of changes in a very short time - so I'm trying to prepare her as best as I can. I think she'll do just fine.

Time with Hedder

*** This is my favorite photo - to CUTE!!! ***

Hi! Katie asked me to post a little about Kendall and I's time together!! Kendall stayed with me for five days and we had a great time!! I didn't get lost in the school, and even managed to get to work on time. The first night she got to play in the front yard with Bryce, they ran and ran and ran around, then we went for ice cream. She had to have something with Blue - so we got Hudsonville Birthday Cake, very yummy. Thursday night we headed to Holland to my sister's place for dinner. Kendall got to hold my niece Katelyn several times and was a big helper! She also got to pet the rabbits, and told King no over and over. King is a HUGE German Shepard, so I am sure he is scary when you are so little! Her and Jewels (my dog) have gotten to be good friends, and Jewels was always by her side. At night before Jewels went to bed, she would go in and lick Kendall's arm - good thing Kendall is a heavy sleeper!
Friday night we headed up north to my grandparents on the lake! Kendall got to drive the golf cart, go on a paddle boat ride, got spoiled by my grandparents and looked for bugs! We also enjoyed an ice cream cake for my birthday - Kendall enjoyed that! Sunday we headed to Marshall for a graduation. Kendall and I were following my parents, we got to Ionia and I pulled beside them so she could wave. Kendall went crazy when my dad gunned it at the light, she kept saying, Ted's beating us, get him - was to cute. Dad's name is Terry but she called him Ted. My dad and her were buddies, but dad said she had to stick her tongue out for the pictures. So have lots of pictures with her tongue out, but my dad's fault.
I had kept saying after the party, we got to go see mommy! She fell asleep after the graduation, the minute she woke up it was mommy, mommy, mommy!! Was to cute!! Kendall is such a smart little girl but is growing up to fast!! It was my pleasure to get to spend so much time with her, we had a ton of fun!!
Kendall got good at writing on the windows, in orange of course!

Staying in the lines

Kendall has gone from coloring pictures with every color ALL OVER the page - to making sure she stays in the lines. I know she has known for a long time that she's SUPPOSED to stay in the lines - but she said "i just don't wanna". Now she colors and says "momma, I'm stayin in da lines". This is a picture she colored at school. She even colors pictures on her Leapster and stays in the lines - except this morning she told me I needed to quit hitting the bumps because it was "messing me up mom".
She has enjoyed wearing "princess dresses" for awhile now - so she thinks she IS a princess. Yesterday I was helping her get dressed for school and I went to put her undies on and she said "mom, princesses don't wear panties". Not sure where she learned THAT One from.....but I told her she could take her panties off at home but not at school. By the time we got home she had forgotten all about it.
She's also getting a little TOO smart for MY OWN good! I used to be able to kind of "fib" to her and she'd fall for it - that isn't going to be possible much longer. On the way to school last week her baby was in the front seat next to me - she asked me to buckle her and I told her that she was and she leaned forward and grabbed the metal part of the seatbelt and said "nuh uh mommy because this didn't click, are you pretending with me?" DANG IT!!!!

Visiting Jane again

Kendall had her pictures done again finally. She did AWESOME. Any which way Jane wanted her to pose - she would do it. MUCH MUCH better than when i took her at 18 months! I must also give some "advertising" out there for Jane - she has her own studio in her basement in Coopersville. She is very flexible with her schedule and with the kids! And Kendall just loves her. Thanks so much Jane for taking awesome pictures and giving us awesome memories of our little ones!!!!!

Dora Live!

Thanks to my friend Jennifer - we scored some FREE tickets to Dora Live at the very last minute last night! Kendall had a blast! During intermission she was really sad that Dora was gone - so I told her that Dora had to take a potty break. Plus Jennifer is smart and brought snacks for the kids. THANKS JENNIFER!! Kendall called grandma afterwards and talked about Dora for about 5 minutes straight.

SJV trip to Children's Museum

I volunteered to chaperone Kendall's class trip to the children's museum.....the actual museum was fine but man alive a bus full of 2 1/2 to 4 year olds is a headache waiting to happen!! She had a good time and luckily I was only responsible for 2 kids while we were there!

Kendall and Kaya - thank goodness they both had purple pants on!! they were easy to watch!

Marge's Donut Den

Kendall absolutely loves donuts. On Saturday she ate two of them - and then asked for a third. I had to stop her at two though. She's funny b/c as you can kinda tell from the picture - she eats from the top of the donut to the bottom (frosting first!) Every now and again she goes to church with grandma and grandpa and they ALWAYS go to Marge's afterwards. Easter was her favorite because Marge had the whole floor full of candy from the "easter bunny" and the kids got little cups and got to take candy home with them.
